Maggie is a purebred Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. She is a young girl in terms of pig years. This girl is smart and friendly!

Maggie had 14 little piglets not too long ago. They are weaned and adopted out, so she is getting ready to be spayed. She is very friendly and ready for a new home.

If you do not know about these guys, they make WONDERFUL pets if you are prepared. Average weight is 60-150 lbs. There is no way to be sure how big they will get, but proper diet and exercise is a MUST.

They are similar to having a dog in many ways. You can walk them, harness train them too, and potty train them. These pigs are use to children and lots of people and other animals.

We have information on our homepage for your review about the care of a pot bellied pig. Feel free to ask questions. You won't believe how much fun they can be and they are so smart!

It is advised to have a fenced in yard with a hotwire to keep them safely contained. They can be indoor and/or outdoor pets, but proper arrangements/shelter must be made (dog house, nesting materials). They generally require very little vet care, but you must see if you have a qualified vet in your area who truly knows how to work with them (ask them questions to be sure they know how to work with them).

Missouri pig chow is a popular brand, but there are usually some cheaper options (locally we have Orangeburg Milling Company, OMC, for about $9/40 lbs.). The US still has a lot to learn about these guys, but more accurate info is available now (as opposed to 10 years ago when they were a fad). We now know they can easily live as long as the average dog, but MUCH longer (maybe 30-40 yrs!) if properly cared for.

If interested, please call or email us.
