Dakota is less than 6 months old and in dire need of your help. Dakota recently dug out of a fenced yard and was hit by a car. Now, both front legs are broken in multiple places and require immediate surgery with several follow-up surgeries. He was surrendered to CARE by his previous owner and will go up for adoption when he is well enough. Dakota will remain in private foster care until that time.

Dakota has a long road ahead of him. Rolling in the grass, running in the yard and wrestling with his buddies will be replaced by vet visits, bandage changes, strict crate rest, and leash walking. He has a lot of life before him though, and is expected to make a full recovery. With your help, we can pull off a minor miracle and save a young, healthy dog's life.
